My guess is that you are looking deeper than the teaching of Resonance Healing you learned in class… In other words – why or what was the reason I set it up this way?
There were two basic reasons. When I started out on my study and investigation of healing, and healing practices, I learned there were many ways and techniques that the individual healers used. Some were simple and some were very complex and, required a long period of study. Some systems relied on religion or cultural beliefs, while others did not.
There were also many very different ways of looking at the causation and the reasons for the physical illness. Again these diagnoses were based on a variety of tools; some were physical, mental, spiritual or emotional or a combination of all four. There were extremely complex ones and very simple ones as well.
I went to workshops and took classes taught by well-known speakers on these subjects. Some like Alice Steadman, author of “Who’s The Matter with Me?” were very good. Others were too limiting or offered a one size fits all approach that I knew was not accurate. All knee problems do not come from ‘inflexibility’ or all leg problems are not the result of indecision.
Because of my work with DR. Fulford and DR. O’Farrell I was able to see and experience all types of illnesses and physical disabilities. In my years of working with their patients, I certainly knew there were as many reasons as there were patients. While some of the reasons given by the speakers and authors might have validity – they all did not. There was No one size fits all.
So I decided to get my mental pictures and what my mind thought out of the way. DR. O’Farrell was an accomplished acupuncturist and watching her work and hearing her explain her work to me; made me quite aware of the process of healing and energy’s movement through the body. In time I became so capable that I could direct where the needles needed to go.
In the physical body, the energy took on a life of its own. My perception was that sometimes the ‘body’ used the energy differently than what the mind thought. This was especially true in very serious cases such as cancer; when the energy seemed to be used to sustain life not ‘heal’ the problem. Over years of observation I came to understand the wisdom of the body - it chooses to use the energy as it will not as we think it should. The integrity and wisdom of the body is the supreme judge and decides where, if and how much energy it can use. The Resonance Healer acknowledges that and honors it. Therefore we don’t need to know either the causation or problem. In fact that information is useless to us except as a matter of curiosity. We simply have to be aware of the body’s decision in the matter. We send and stop sending Resonance Healing according to the needs of the individual.
To me the simple and uncomplicated way is/was the most effective. We could ‘do’ the work without any of the religious, cultural or intellectual constructs that possibly could get in the way. I developed a simple, basic, effective system that anyone could use or learn based upon the techniques I had learned and observed working as a healer.
